How to play Type Invaders
- A grid of invaders marches side to side and drops a row each time it reaches an edge. Every invader carries a word.
- Type a word's first letter to lock on, then finish the word to destroy that invader. You stay locked until it's gone.
- The fewer invaders are left, the faster the rest march. Don't let them reach the ground.
- Invaders drop slow bombs with one or two letters on them. Type the letters to shoot a bomb down, or it costs you one of your 3 lives.
- A mystery UFO crosses the top now and then. Its word is worth bonus points.
- Clear the formation to reach the next level: faster marching and longer words. Clean words in a row build a combo multiplier.
Retro look, or your mood
The game starts in green-on-black CRT style, with scanlines and a pixel font. Switch to "my mood" on the start screen and it uses the colors of the mood you picked on the home page instead.
